DAY 1
Girona Comfort Warm up Loop ride
Bienvenido a España! Nestled in the heart of Catalonia, Girona is a captivating city where centuries of history blend with a vibrant modern lifestyle. Its beautifully preserved medieval Old Town is a maze of cobbled streets, charming squares, and hidden courtyards. Today´s short loop should give you an introduction to the area and fuel up your appetite for the week to come. We´ll perfectly set up your bike and you`ll test it on great country roads

DAY 2
Els Angels Loop
Rising through the forests just outside Girona, Els Àngels is one of the region’s most celebrated cycling climbs. The ascent winds its way up smooth, quiet roads beneath a canopy of pine and oak trees, offering a steady gradient that makes it both challenging and enjoyable.
At the summit, the historic Sanctuary of Els Àngels rewards us with sweeping panoramic views across the Catalan countryside, stretching toward the Pyrenees on clear days. Els Àngels has become a rite of passage for cyclists. You will realize why the region is regarded as one of the world’s premier cycling destinations.
Our route also goes through small villages like Sant Sadurní de l’Heura, a charming, quiet village well-loved for its historic stone streets and medieval ruins.

DAY 3
Journey to the Mediterranean
This is the day the scent of pine gives way to the salt of the Mediterranean! Our route heads southeast, passing through the town of Lagostera before we tackle the hills of the Massís de Cadirets. A fantastic descent brings us right to the sea and into the beautiful coastal town of Sant Feliu de Guíxols
We will stay overnight in the heart of the old town, facing its lively promenade and harbor, where fishing boats and yachts share the bay, and cafés and restaurants line the waterfront. The old town preserves a sense of history, with narrow streets, stone architecture, and the impressive Benedictine monastery of Sant Feliu de Guíxols, which dates back over a thousand years and now hosts cultural events and exhibitions.

DAY 4
The old villages and the golden coast
Prepare for a beautiful first section of scenic coastal riding. We’ll spin through bustling seaside towns like Platja d’Aro before heading inland to La Bisbal d’Empordà, famous for its ceramics. Our route travels through rural landscapes, passing quaint hamlets bursting with bougainvillea, offering a perfect blend of sea views and inland bucolic sceneries.
We´ll be riding by the medieval stone villages, including Palau Sator where the local cuisine made with the best raw materials from the region awaits us. Mas Pou is more than a family restaurant, they created an ethnographic museum and they produce wine, olive oil and jam – which you can only buy here since the production is very limited. Lots of passion in this family!
After lunch the terrain is almost flat all the way to our hotel facing the sea in the town of L’Escala. One of the most important historical sites at L´Escala is the nearby ruins of Empúries archaeological site, where Greek and Roman settlements once stood right on the seafront. It’s a place where calm waters, heritage, and everyday local life come together in a simple, authentic way.

DAY 5
The Empordá loop
Today we will explore the rich countryside of the Empordà region around L’Escala. This town is famous for its ancient origins and maritime heritage, it became a bustling port, renowned globally for its traditional anchovy-curing industry.
This enjoyable loop ride gives us a chance to discover the countryside, the inland roads and the tiny quiet villages as we pedal through Sant Jordi Desvalls and Gulta. The Long option also passes through the popular coastal town of L’Estartit. Lunch will be in Torroela de Montgri, known for the Gothic art churches, romanesque-style chapel of Sant Antoni, and the Casa de la Vila (15th and 16th centuries). The town hosts the International Music Festival, as well as jazz concert series during the months of July and August. But, for us, the highlight of today’s ride is the countryside, the inland roads and the tiny villages spread in the middle part of the ride.
Once we get back to L´Escala you can choose the best way to relax your muscles – the hotel pool or one of the small beaches next to our hotel.

DAY 6
A date with Dali
We’ll enjoy a shorter, easier day today, giving us plenty of energy to explore the incredible Dalí Museum in Figueres. Our route winds north from the coast through Sant Pere Pescador and Vilafant, then we´ ll have lunch facing a river before arriving at our country hotel.
The cultural visit of Figueres and the Dali Museum provides a perfect, surreal break in our Catalan adventure.
After our visit to Figueres, enjoy a late afternoon in the country hotel, immerse yourself in the history of this 16th-century fortified farmhouse, now a boutique hotel, and let nature take over. Treat yourself in the spa, savor the finest wines paired with excellent local produce. Dinner will be at Mas Bosch restaurant, tasting the local recipes with a lovely view of the countryside!

DAY 7
To Cadaqués!
Our final day of riding is one of the most beautiful and rewarding of the entire trip. We begin by riding through flat lands and the historic town of Castelló d’Empúries before taking on the rugged hills of the Serra de Rodes. After a spectacular descent into the picturesque fishing village of El Port de la Selva – something out of this world, take your time to enjoy it – have lunch by the sea in this small charming village, unique for its varied landscapes, its beaches and the mountains behind.
One last climb brings us to our final destination: Cadaqués. Reaching this iconic, white-washed village is the perfect reward for a week of incredible cycling.
Once at our hotel choose between relaxing at the pool or walking the singletrack trail that follows the coast and takes you to Cadaqués (20 min walk).
Dinner will be in Cadaques, a village that has been a source of inspiration for internationally renowned painters and artists for decades, today it enjoys a vibrant cultural life, as evidenced by its numerous museums and art galleries.

DAY 8
FAREWELL
Sleep in or take an early morning stroll in the beautiful Cadaques. Admire the “Indian” houses, these are private houses and buildings which emerged when the inhabitants of Empordá went to South America and made their fortune, then built their grand houses when they returned. In Cadaqués there are several examples – normally they are the most exuberant, largest and best decorated (19th century).
After breakfast your guides will say ‘Adiós!”
