DAY 7

The birthplace of the Slow Safari

Today we´ ll have an early breakfast, board a Toyota Land Cruiser modified for safaris and depart for Tarangire National Park for a full-day safari. This is the birthplace of the Slow Safari, where Safari is reimagined as something unhurried, immersive, and deeply personal – less about chasing sightings, more about connecting with the wild.

Every year, during the dry season from June to November , Tarangire River remains the only source of water in the region and consequently attracts large numbers of wildlife that come to drink and graze around the river banks. Tarangire has a reputation for hosting some of the largest elephant herds in East Africa.

This magical park is composed of swampy areas and green plains nestled among hills, populated by many varieties of acacia trees and the giants of Africa, the gigantic baobab trees – which can live up to 600 years and store between 300 and 900 liters of water.

After a  picnic lunch we depart the park for a safari and transfer back to our accommodation in Arusha town.

Farewell and thanks to our Safari Guide/s.

DAY 8

FAREWELL

On our last day of this adventure we´ll drive to the Lake Duluti Protected area. This volcanic crater Lake that was formed thousands of years ago when a volcanic cone collapsed after an eruption.

Why choose to ride in Tanzania

Tanzania offers world-class wildlife, spectacular volcanic landscapes, and a unique Maasai Culture.

We will be in Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive baobab trees and one of the largest elephant populations in East Africa. It serves as a vital wildlife corridor, when herds gather along the Tarangire River.

We will interact with the semi-nomadic Maasai people and provide a unique cultural highlight with whom we will learn about traditional pastoralist ways of life. This trip is an adventure trip for those who seek an exotic scenery and are looking for a memorable trip. It includes 4 cycling days on dirt hardpacked roads, 1 Safari day, 1 hiking day, 1 day of immersive experiences with the local community and a canoe ride on a lake inside a volcano crater.

But the journey is not just about adventure and spectacular sceneries, in this trip we also want to raise awareness and funding for wildlife and for the local communities in Tanzania. Partnering with Africa Amini we committed 100% of donations toward supporting communities with stands for meaningful and responsible travel – deeply connected to the people, culture, and nature of Tanzania. Every stay with Africa Amini Life directly supports the social, medical and educational projects of Africa Amini Alama. 100% of revenues are reinvested into their NGO, creating lasting impact for local communities.

Through our stay in these accommodations, this impact is further strengthened: an additional $2 per night is contributed to kids and their nutrition. This creates a travel experience that goes beyond the stay itself — offering purpose, connection and a positive impact for both us and the communities we will visit.

It is more important than ever to travel consciously, to respect culture and nature, and to give a positive contribution to local communities. Those who travel to Tanzania today are not only seeking adventure — but meaning, exchange, and lasting impressions.
